Biography:

Born in Louisiana in 1811.  Son of William Leigh Brent and wife Maria (Fenwick) Brent.  Married Matilda Lawrence, June 1835, in Washington County; several daughters and one son. Died in Baltimore City, February 4, 1872.

Member, Constitutional Convention of 1850, Baltimore City. Attorney General, 1851. Appointed upon the death of George R. Richardson.
