June Court Anno Domini 1747 Recovered against her with Additional Costs thereon on the Tenth day of February Next Confessed the 6.th day of June 1747 Before Rob.t Hanson S Hanson It was Comanded the sheriff that he should take Charles Craycroft late of Charles County Planter otherwise Called Charles Craycroft of Charles County if &C.a and him safe Keep so that he should have his body before the Justices of the Lord Proprietary of his Next Court to be holden at Charles Town on the Second Tuesday in June Next to satisfie unto George Tarvin as well the sum of four Thousand Three Hundred & Sixteen Pounds of Good Sound Merchantable ^leaf^ Tobacco in Cask Convenient in s.d County a Certain Debt which the same George Tarvin in the County the Lord Propry befor the Justices afs.d at Charles County afs.d Recovered against the said Charles as also four Hundred and Eighty one pounds of Tobacco which to the same George by Discretion of the Justices afs.d of his assent were adjudged for his Damages which he had by occasion of Detaining that Debt whereof the said Charles is Convict and that he should have then & there that Writt &C.a And now here at this day to wit the Second Tuesday in June afs.d the sheriff afs.d the sheriff afs.d Returns to the Court here the Writt afs.d thus Indorsed Viz.t Cepi Corpus Satisfied the Plaintiff Mem.o the plf Releases the fees after payment of Prin.l S Hanson She Interest & Damages It was Commanded the sheriff that he should take Charles Craycroft late of Charles County Planter otherwise Called Charles Craycroft of Charles County Planter if &C.a and him safe keep so that he should have his body before the Justices of the Lord Proprietary of his Next Court to be holden at Charles Town on the Second Tuesday in June Next to satisfie unto ^Mess.rs^ Wardrop & Graham as well the sum of six pounds Tob a Certain Debt which the same Wardrop & Graham in the County of the Lord Proprietary before the Justices afs.d at Charles County aforesaid Recovered against the said Charles as also Two Hundred and Eighty one Pounds of Tobacco which to the same Wardrop & Graham by Discretion of the Justices afs.d of his assent were adjudged for his Dam.s which he had by occasion of Detaining that Debt whereof the said Charles is Convict and that he should have then & there that Writt &Ca And now here at this day to with the Second Tuesday in June afs.d the sheriff aforesaid Returns to the Court here the Writt afs.d thus Indorsed Viz.t Cepi Corpus Superseded Sam Hanson She and with the writt afs.d he Returns the following supersedeas Viz.t Charles County ss.t You Charles Craycroft Richard Edelen Ignatius Doyne Edward Clements and Benjamin Craycroft do Confess Judgment to Mess.rs Wardrop & Graham as well for the sum of six Pounds sterling Debt as Two Hundred and Eighty one pounds of Tob.o Damages which sums were Recovered by the said Mess.rs Wardrop & Graham against Charles Craycroft on the Twelfth day of March last in Charles County County Court the said six pounds sterling and Two Hundred & Eighty One pounds of Tobacco to be levied of your body's Goods Chattles Lands or Tenements for the use of the said Mess.rs Wardrop & Graham In case the said Charles Craycroft shall not Pay and satisfie to the s.d Mess.rs Wardrop & Graham the said six pounds sterling and Two Hundred & Eighty One Pounds of Tobacco so as afs.d Recovered against him with Additional Costs thereon on the Tenth day of February Next Confessed the 6th day of June 1747 Mem.o the Plaintiffe Releases the Before Robert Hanson penalty on payment of Prin.l Int & Damages S Hanson |
