(178) November Court Anno Domini 1747 Maryland ss.t Charles Absolute Lord and Proprietary of the Provinces of Maryland and Avalon Lord Baron of Baltimore &C.a To George Plater Edmund Jenings Charles Hammond Samuel Chamberlaine & Philip Thomas Esq.rs Gustavus Brown Thomas Stone Allen Davies Samuel Hanson William Middleton William Eilbeck and Richard Harrison of Charles County Gentleman Greeting we do hereby authorize and Impower you or either of you to administer the several oaths appointed by act of assembly as also the oath of Judge or Justice to Benjamin Tasker Daniel Dulany Edward Lloyd Benjamin Young Benjamin Tasker Jun.r and Richard Lee Esq.rs Robert Hanson William Penn Walter Hanson John Winter Robert Yates Arthur Lee and Samuel Hawkins of the same County Gentleman or any of them and you the said Benjamin Tasker Daniel Dulany Edward Lloyd Benjamin Young Benjamin Tasker Junior & Richard Lee Esq.rs Robert Hanson Will.m Penn Walter Hanson John Winter Robert Yates Arthur Lee and Sam.l Hawkins or any of you having taken the said oaths are hereby impowered to administer the same to the Justices and Commissioners Respectively as they are Nominated in the within comission and we will that you and every of you and every of you having taken the said oaths do severally subscribe the Test and oath and abjuration and for so doing this shall be your sufficient Warrant and authority Hereof fail not and when you have the same so done you are to Certify the same under your Hands and Seals to us in our High Court of Chancery with all Convenient Speed Witness our Trusty and Well beloved Samuel Ogle Esq.r Lie^u^tenant General and Chief Governour of our said Province of Maryland this Twenty fourth Day of october in the 33d year of our Dominion &C.a Annoq Domini 1747 Whereupon the aforesaid Robert Hanson Gustavus Brown Thomas Stone Allen Davies Samuel Hanson William Middleton William Eilbeck Richard Harrison William Penn Walter Hanson John Winter Robert Yates Arthur Lee and Samuel Hawkins severally took the oaths and made the Declaration and Subscriptions appointed by act of assembly and Likewise took the oath of Judge and Justice in the order prescribed by the Dedimus Potestation aforesaid |
