(144) August Court Anno Domini 1747
Tuesday in June ^last^ by the oath of fourteen Jurors Namely Thomas Matthews &C.a was Presented Catherine Winn for selling Liquor in her own house Contrary to act of Assembly And now here at this day to wit the Second Tuesday in August afs.d the afs.d Catherine in Custody of the sheriff Namely Samuel Hanson Gent to the Barr here brought in her Proper Person Comes & being Demanded of her by the Court here wether she ^is^ Guilty of the Breach afs.d above upon her Imposed she the said Catherine says she is thereof Guilty in manner and form as by the Presentment afs.d against her it is alledged Therefore it is Considered that the said Catherine Winn be fined five shillings Current money for her offence afs.d by the Court here adjudged and the said Catherine be taken &Ca Whereupon into Court herein his Proper Person Comes John Bangham of Charles County Planter & becomes and Pledge and Security for the said Catherine to Pay the fine afs.d as also the several fees arisen due to the officers and ministers of the Court here by occasion of the Premises
