(116) June Court Anno Domini 1747 And the said W.m Paget the sum of five shillings Curr altho' solemnly Called Comes not but makes Default and the said James Hambleton into Court here in his Proper Person Comes and Confesses that at the time of laying the attachment afs.d he had and stil has of the Effects of the said Murphey to the Value of Three Shillings & four Pence Currency and no more and the said John Harris in like manner Confesses Thirteen shillings & six Pence Currency Whereupon the said Askins Executors by their attorney afs.d prays Condemnation of the several sums of money afs.d so as aforesaid in the hands of the Several Garnashees afs.d attached with Execution thereof to them to be adjudged Therefore It is Considered by the Court here that the said Askins Executors have Condemnation of the Several Sums of money so as afs.d in the hands of the Several Garnsahees afs.d attached by the Court here adjudged according to the form force and Effect of the act of Assembly in those Cases late made & provided and that the said Askins Ex.rs have thereof Execution &Ca Mem.o Richard Edelen secy on bond
Be it Remembered that John Winn Pursuant to the Directions of the Act of Assembly in those Cases late made and Provided lodged with the Clerk of the Court here the following Account and Warrant for Attachment Vizt
May 26.th 1747 Then was the within Account proved by the Oath of John Win According to Law S Hanson Charles County ss.t Whereas a Certain John Winn of Prince Georges County This day Came before me one of his Lordships Justices of the Peace for the County aforesaid & made Oath on the holy Evangelist of Almighty God that a Certain Edward Murphy stands Justly Indebted unto him the sum of forty shillings Paper Currency and that the said Murphy is Absconded These are therefore in his Lordships Name to Require you to Issue Attachment against the Goods and Chattles of the said Edward Murphy as well for the sum of forty shillings afs.d as all Costs that shall accrue thereon and this shall be your sufficient Warrant Given under my hand this Twenty sixth day of May Anno 1747 S Hanson To M.r Edmund Porteus Clk of Charles County |
