Be it Remembered that John Moore Pursuant to the Directions of the act of Assembly in those Cases late made and Provided lodged with the Clerk of the Court here the following account and Warrant for Attachment Vizt 1746 Lawrance Macnamarra D.r To my attendance at Annapolis at the Commissarys Court & Inherent Charges allowed me P said Court as p order 240ll Tobacco May 11.th 1747 The above account as Proved by the Oath of John Moore according to Law Before Robt Hanson Charles County ss.t Whereas it has been made appear to me the Subscriber one of his Lordships Justices of the Peace that Lawrance Macnamarra is Indebted unto John Moore in the sum of Two Hundred and forty Pounds as also that the said Lawrance is absconded from the Place of his late above & is Runaway These are therefore in his said Lordships Name to Command you to Issue attachment against the effects of the said Lawrance as well to satisfy the s.d sum of Two Hundred and forty Pounds of Tobacco as also the Incident Costs that shall accrue thereon Pursuant to the Directions of our act of Assembly in such Cases made and Provided fail not and for so doing this shall be your Warrant Given under my hand y.e 11.th Day of May 1747 Rob.t Hanson To the Clk of Cha.s Co.ty Whereupon it was Commanded the Sheriff that of the Goods Chattles & Credits of the afs.d Lawrance Macnamarra in his Bailywick being he should attach as well the Sum of Two Hundred and forty Pounds of Tobacco Damages as four Hund.d Pounds of Tobacco for Costs that had accrued and that further may accrue in Prosecution of the Premises and when the same he had attached or any Part thereof that he should have it before the Justices of the Lord Proprietary of his Next County Court to be held at Charles Town on the Second Tuesday in June Next then and there to be Condemned according to Law and for the use of the said John Moore unless the said Lawrance shall Come then and there by himself or Lawfull Attorney and answer unto the said John Moore of a Plea of Trespass upon the Case and that by Good & Lawfull men of his Bailywick he should make Known to the Person or Persons in whose hands he made the same attachment that he she or they be and appear before the Justices of the said Lord Proprietary at the Place and Time afs.d to shew Cause if any he she or they have why the sum in their or any of their hands attached should not be Condemned according to Law and the said John Moore have thereof Execution if &Ca (and) |
