The State of Maryland
  Talbot County to wit
 I hereby Certify all persons
to whome these presents shall
concern that Anna Powell of Talbot County came and proved
to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof negro Lilly
of a Dark brown complection about five feet one
inch high with two small scars (or marks) on her
right arm about twenty one years of age is the Identical
person manumitted by her husband Howell
Powell Jun.r of Talbot County in the year
of our Lord seventeen hundred and ninety
   
                            In Witness whereof I have
                      hereunto set my hand &C  
                      this 6th day of august 1807


State of Maryland
Talbot County to wit
 To all persons whom it doth
or may concern that Solomon
Stevens of Talbot County came and proved to my
satisfaction that the bearer hereof a Dark brown woman
named Hannah aged thirty five years five feet one
inch high with the loss of the sight of her left eye
was raised in the County aforesaid and is the
Identical person manumitted by his father
William Stevens on the third day of august
seventeen hundred and eighty nine
