the bearer hereof a Black man named Isaac who is now about 31 years of age 5 feet & ⅛ of an inch high has one small scar on the third finger of his left hand & one other small scar near his right temple is the identical person named in a manumission from the said William Smith to the said negro Isaac the said negro Isaac to be free on the 1.st day of June 1811 which s.d man.n was duly acknowledged & enrolled in the County afs.d where the said negro Isaac was raised In Testimony &.c this 8 day of Aug.t 1811 JLoockerman Cl State of Maryland Talbot County to wit: I hereby Certify that Thomas Atkinson of the County and State afs.d came and proved to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof a Dark mulatto man who calls himself John Webster and who is now about 21 years of age five feet four inches & three quarters of an Inch high has no remarkable scars was born free and raised in the County afs.d In Testimony &.c this 23 day of Nov 1811 JLoockerman Cl
that the bearer hereof a Black woman upwards of thirty years of age five feet eight & one quarter Inches high slender made a large scar on her right arm below her elbow was free born and raised in this County afs.d & Called by the name of Dark or Darkey Smith In Wit [illegible] |
