To the Clerk of Kent County Circuit Court         This is to certify
that a negro man named Joseph Willson now present and
applying for a certificate of freedom is the son of a negro
woman named Betsy Barnett or Betty who was manumitted
by R.d S Thomas on the 3d Feby 1814 & recorded in Liber B C N.o 3
folio 509 whom I have known for many years as a free woman
and that the said Jos Willson is free and raised in Kent County
    Witness my hand this 19 day of June 1852

             The said Jos Willson is about twenty three years of
age five feet eight and a half inches high and has a scar
on his left leg and one upon his left arm
    Filed and recorded on the 14 day of June 1852 and certificate

To the Clerk of Circuit Court for Kent County   This is to
certify that Isaac Wright who is now present and applying
for a certificate of freedom was free born and raised in
Kent County                  July 15  1852    Rich.d Hynson
    I hereby certify that the above Isaac Wright is now
about twenty one years of age as is shown by his papers
binding him to the late W B Everitt
                                                 Geo B Westcott
Isaac is five feet eleven and one half inches high black
complexion & a small scar on the left cheek
    Filed and recorded on the 15 day of July 1852 and certificate

certify that David Henry Bowers who is now present &
applying for a certificate of freedom was free born and
raised in Kent County and is now twenty one years of age
August 4 1852                        Joshua Copper
David is five feet seven and one quarter inches high yellow
complexion and has a scar on the inside of the right arm just
below the elbow         Filed & recorded on the 4 day of August 1852
