pounds fourteen Shill.s and Eight pence Current money of Maryland and one thousand pounds of tobacco which to him he oweth and unjustly detaineth &.a And Whereupon the same Edward by Robert Jenckins Henry his attorney saith that whereas the af.d Wrixham the Twentieth day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand Seven hundred thirty and four at Somerset County aforesaid within the Jur of this Court by his certain ^writing^ obligatory did acknowledge himself to be held and firmly bound unto the same Edward in y.e aforesaid Eight pounds fourteen Shill.s and Eight pence and one thousand pounds of Tobacco to be paid to ye same Edward when he should be thereunto requested Nevertheless the aforesaid Wrixham altho' often thereunto requested the aforesaid Eight pounds fourteen Shillings and Eight pence and one thousand pounds of tobacco unto the same Edward he hath not as yet rendered but the same to him hitherto to render hath refused and still doth refuse and deny wherefore he saith that he is the Worse and hath damage to the value of Eight pounds fourteen Shill.s and Eight pence and one thousand pounds of tobacco and thereof bringeth Suit &a and bringeth hereinto Court the writing aforesaid within y.e debt af.d in form afores.d doth testify whose date is y.e same day and year af.d &.a Pledges &.a Jno Doe & R: Roe And the aforesaid Wrixham Crapper by George Douglas his attorney cometh and defendeth the force and Injury when &.a and saith that he cannot gainsay the action af.d of the af.d Edward Rownd nor but that the writing obligatory af.d is the deed of him the same Wrixham nor but that he oweth the same Edward the af.d Eight pounds fourteen Shill.s and Eight pence Currant money as af.d and one thousand pounds of tobacco in manner and form as the afs.d Edward above against him hath declared &.a Therefore it is Considered that the aforesaid Edward Rownd recover against the aforesaid Wrixham Crapper his debt af.d and his damages by Occasion of the detaining of the same debt to One hundred & Seventy 174 Four pounds of tobacco to the same Edward of his assent by the Court here adjudged and the af.d def.t in mercy &.a
