246 Service the said Peter Kersie present here in Court in his proper person Covenanteth with the Justices of the same Court in manner and ^form^ following that is to say that he the said Peter Kersie during the term afd shall and will endeavour to learn his said apprentice the trade of a weaver and give her six months schooling and at the Expiration of her servitude give her a new suit of Cloaths either of stuff or Calliquo over and above her Common wearing Cloaths and Likewise provide for his said apprentice meat drink washing Lodging and Cloathing mete for such an apprentice to have and wear during the term afd &a Whereupon the said Peter Kersie is ordered to give Security for to Comply with the Covenants afd &a Thereupon the Said Peter Kersie with Esau Boston of Somerset County planter his security both present herein Court in their proper persons acknowledged themselves Indebted unto the said Ellis Taylor in twenty pounds sterling Each of their bodys goods or Chattells Lands or tenements Joyntly and Severally to the Use of the Said Ellis Taylor her heires or assignes to be made and Levied If it happen that the said Peter Kersie do not during the term afd Endeavour to Learn his said apprentice the trade of a weaver and ^do not^ give her six months schooling and at the expiration of her servitude servitude do not give her a new Suit of Cloaths either of Stuff or Calliquo over and above her her Common wearing Cloaths and Likewise provide for her said apprentice meat drink washing Lodging and Cloathing mete for such an apprentice to have and wear during the term afd &a
Taylor to serve his said Master the full term afd during which term the said Obed Taylor his said master well and faithfully shall serve his secrets keep his Commadments Lawfully and honestly every where willingly shall do and in all things as a good and faithfull servant shall demean himself towards his said Master and all his during the term afd &a In consideration of which service the said George Marshall present herein Court in his proper person Covenanteth with the Justices of the Same Court in manner and form following that is to say that he the said Geo Marshall during the term afd shall and will learn him the trade of a Shoemaker and to read write and Cypher as farr as the rule of three Inclusive and at the Expiration of his servitude give him a new suit of Cloaths over and above his |
