89 find and provide for his said servant sufficient meat drink washing Lodging and Cloathing mete for such a servant to have and wear during his Servitude afd &c Whereupon it is Ordered by the Court that the afd William Kennett give Security to Comply with the Covenants afd Thereupon the said William Kennett with John Collins and James Mumford Jun.r his Securitys all present here in Court in their proper persons acknowledged themselves to owe and stand Justly Indebted unto the Said John Racklife in the Sum of thirty pounds goods and Lawfull mony of England of their bodys goods or Chattells Lands and tenements Joyntly and Severally to be made and Levied for the Use of the Said John Racklife his heirs and assignes if default be made in the Condition hereunder written The Condition of the above Recognizance is Such that if the above bound William Kennett do and shall Well and faithfully Learn the Said John Racklife dureing his servitude afd the trade of a Shoemaker and to read well in the bible and to write and at the Expiration of his servitude to give him a new Suit of Cloaths and a gunn and Likewise to find and provide for his said Servant during his servitude meat drink washing Lodging and Cloathing mete for Such a Servant to have and wear then the above recognizance to be void and of None Effect otherwise to remain in full force and vertue &c
a tract of Land lying the County afd on the north side of Marumsco Dam Called Long Ridge the bounds whereof are precarious and uncertain your Petitioner therefore Humbly prays your worships to appoint Commissioners pursuant to an act of assembly in that Case provided to Examine Evidences relateing to the bounds afd and your Petitioner shall as in duty bound pray The Petition afd being Read and heard and mature deliberation thereupon had &.c Wherefore it is Considered by the Justices here that a Commission Issue Out of this Court unto the afd Daniel Hull, and that Robert King, Ephraim Willson John Trehearn and Boaz Walstom all of Somersett County Gentlemen be Commissioners & Execute the Same Commission according to Law in Such Case made and provided &c
Daniel Luke being present and the Court having heard their Severall Allegations as well on the part of the said Daniel Luke as on the part of the Said Abraham Smith and the premisses Considered and foras much as it doth not Appear to this Court that the afd Abraham Smith hath not any right to Keep the afd orphan Its therefore ordered by the Court that the afd Amy Luke the orphan |
