   Thirteen pounds proclamation Money And wherein the Sheriff of Said County to
   whome the writt in the Said Action was directed makes Return to the Court here
   on the third teusday in August Viz^t. the 16^th day of the Said month anno Domⁱ [1720]
   being the day of Return of Said writt Endorst Cepi Corpus p^r Gideon Pearce [Sheriff]
           And the af^d. Def^t. in this proper person Comes and Defends the force and
   Injury when &c and prays Leave to imparle thereto and to answer at next
   Court, and he hath it and the Same day is given to the plt^f also

a^t	\|	menced by the said plt^f against the said Def^t. and
J.J. Saint Leger Codd.	\|	and wherein the Sheriff of Said County to whom the
		writt in the said Action was directed makes Return

          And the af^d Def^t by his Attorney John Johnson Comes and Defends the
   force and Injury when &c. And prays leave to imparle thereto and to answere at
   next Court and he hath it and the same day is Given the plt^f also
