Laughlin Flinn take nothing by his writ and Declaration afd but that he and his Pledges of Prosecuteing be in mercy And that the Said Deft~ Christopher Bateman go thereof without day And also that the Said Deft Christopher Bateman Recover against the Said Laughlin Flinn as well the Sume of Three hundred and Thirty pounds of Tobacco Cost about his Suite in this behalf expened about his defence According to the forme of the Statute &ca Jams Smith Clk
Said Lordships Justices of the next Court to be held at our Court house in~ the Town of Chester in Said County to Answer unto James Rae of a plea of Trespass upon the Case and that he have then and there the Said writ~ &ca. Att which Said next Court vizt. the Twentieth day of November in the Same Year last mentioned the day of return of Said writ came William Frisby Gent. high Sherf. of Said County and made return thereof in these. words thereon Endorsed as folls vizt. Cepi Corpus pr William Frisby Sherf And the Said Deft by John Johnson his attry appeared to the above . Accõn and prayd liberty thereof to imparle thereto and to answer at next Court which was granted the Same day was given the Plt~ also Att which Said next Court vizt. the Nineteenth day of March the Same Year last mentioned the Said cause Standing for tryal came the Said Plt by Thomas Bowne his attry and the Said Deft~ by John Johnson his attry and the Said Plt. by his Said attry. declare as folls vizt. Kent County Ss James Campbell of Sd County Innholder Stands Attached to Answer unto James Rae of a plea of Trespass upon ye Case And Whereupon the afd Plt~ by Thomas Bowne his attry Complains for that whereas ye afd Deft~ the Twentieth day of March Anno Domini Seventeen hundred and fourteen at St. Pauls Parish in Kent County afd within the Jurisdiciõn of this Court In Consideration that the Same Plt~. at ye Special Instance & request of the afd Deft~ had then and there for the use of the Said Deft~ Credited a Certain James Paul with the value of one ~ pound Currant money of Maryland and Sold & delivered to the Said Deft~ the divers goods and Merchandizes in an Account~ hereto annexed Specifically Sett |
