under the age of forty five years and capable by labour
to procure sufficient food and raiment the said Woman
Betsy and her two male Children Benjamin Howard
and Charles Howard   I do declare to be henceforth free
manumitted and discharged from all manner of servitude
to me my Executors or administrators for ever   In Witness
whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my
seal this twentieth day of august Eighteen hundred
and Eighteen                                        his

    on the back of the aforegoing deed was thus written to wit:
          Received on the day of the date within mentioned
the sum of one Dollar Current money it being the
full consideration money within mentioned

Anne Arundel County sc  on this twentieth day of
August Eighteen hundred and Eighteen personally
appears Benjamin Howard party to the within
instrument of writing before me the Subscriber a
Justice of the peace of the State of maryland for the
County aforesaid and acknowledges the same to be
his act and deed for the purposes within mentioned
and the woman and Children within named to be
henceforth manumitted and discharged from all
services to him or to any claiming under him and
to be free and manumitted according to the act of
assembly in such cases made and provided
