296 free my negro girl named Esther about twelve years of age at the age of twenty eight years and her issue after her the males at the age of twenty eight years and the females at the age of twenty five and her the said negro girl named Esther I do declare to be free and discharged from all manner of servitude to me myself executors administrators or assigns forever at the ages above mentioned in Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this fifteenth day of september in the year of our Lord eighteen hundred and twenty four signed sealed and delivered Caleb Barry (seal) in the presence of Jacob Barry Jun.r Harriot Barry At the foot of the aforegoing Deed was thus written to wit Received on the day of the date within mentioned the sum of twenty dollars current money it being the full consideration money within mentioned Caleb Barry (seal) Anne Arundell County to wit On this 15th day of september personally appears Caleb Barry party to the within Instrument of writing before me the subscriber a Justice of the peace for the county aforesaid and acknowledged the same to be his act and Deed for the within mentioned purposes and the negro girl within named and her issue to be henceforth discharged from all services at the ages within mentioned to him or any claiming under him and to be free according to the act of assembly in such Cases made and provided paid acknowledged before 2¾ Caleb White Recorded the 24th day of September 1824 |
