At the foot of the aforegoing deed was thus written to wit: anne arundel County to wit: acknowledged before me the subscriber one of the Justices of the peace for the County aforesaid by the above named Rachel maria Harrison as her act and deed this sixth day of april Eighteen hundred and nineteen Ch.d Jos: G Harrison Ex.d 2¼ Recorded the 1.st day of June 1819 To all whom it may concern Be it known that I Ninian Pinkney of arundel County in the State of maryland for divers good causes and considerations thereunto moving as also in further Consideration of five dollars Current money to me in hand have released from slavery liberated manumitted and set free and by these presents do hereby release from slavery liberate manumit and set free my negro man named Emanuel Little being of the age of thirty six years and able to work and gain a sufficient livelihood and maintenance and him the said negro man named Emanuel Little I do declare to be henceforth ^free^ manumitted and discharged from all manner of servitude or service to me my Executors or administrators for ever In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this 7th day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and nineteen Signed Sealed and delivered in the presence of John Tho.s Davidson Ninian Pinkney (seal) R Welch of Ben On the back of the aforegoing deed was thus written to wit: Received on the day of the date (within) |
