175 of April 1804 personally appeared before me the subscriber one of the Justices of the peace for Anne Arundel County Rezin Hammond party to the within instrument of writing who acknowledg the said instrument of writing to be his act and deed and the signature and seal thereto annexed to be his Henry Hall Dorsey Recorded the 24.th day of April 1804 Ex.d To all whome these presents may come Now know ye that I Rezin Hammond son of Charles do by these presents manumit discharge set free and acquit in equity and in law a certain negro woman Rachel aged about thirty years and by these presents I do also manumit and set free her infant child Diannah aged about three being induced thereto by divers causes In Witness whereunto I have set my hand and affixed my seal this 13 day of April in the year 1804 Witness H.
