Anne Arundel County Court Certificates of Freedom, 1831-1844

    Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit
              I William S Green, Clerk of Anne Arundel
County Court do hereby Certify that it hath been
proved to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof named
Achsah Mansfield aged about twenty two years about
five feet three Inches high bright Complexion has a
small mole over the right eye was free born and that
she was raised in the County aforesaid
    Issued the 10th day of September 1839


    Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit
              I William S Green, Clerk of Anne Arundel
County Court do hereby Certify that it hath been
proved to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof named
Mary Ann Gaither aged about twenty years about
five feet four Inches high yellow complexion has
long straight hair and a small mole on the left side
of the neck, was free born, and that she was raised
in the County aforesaid
    Issued the 10 day of September 1839


    Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit
              I William S Green, Clerk of Anne Arundel
County Court do hereby Certify that it hath been proved
to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof named Washington
Gaither aged about twenty three years about five feet
Eight Inches high yellow Complexion has a small
scar over the left eye and straight hair was free
born and that he was raised in the County
aforesaid
    Issued the 10 day of September 1839


    Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit
              I William S Green, Clerk of Anne
Arundel County Court Do hereby Certify that it
hath been proved to my satisfaction that the bearer
