            I Samuel Brown Jn.r Register of Wills for Anne Arundel County do Certify
and attest that it appears from the last Will and Testament of Elizabeth Battee
late of the County aforesaid, deceased, that she did by her said Will Manumit
Liberate and set free a negro Boy by the name of Sam Starks and it being
proved to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof is the Identical person as freed
by said Will  I do certify that he is in height five feet nine & ½ Inches
is about the age of Twenty four years, dark complexion, and was freed by
the last Will and Testament of the said Elizabeth Battee dated the fourteenth
day of March Eighteen hundred and twenty two was raised in Anne
Arundel County and has no visible scars
                                            Issued the 13 day of April 1841

do hereby Certify and attest that it appears from the last Will and Testament of
Elizabeth Battee late of Anne Arundel County deceased, that she did by her
said Will Manumit Liberate and set free, a negro Girl by the name of
Maria Starks and it being proved to my satisfaction that the bearer
hereof is the Identical person as freed by said Will  I do certify that she
is in height five feet and a half Inch is about the age of Twenty four
dark complexion and was freed by the last Will and Testament of the
said Elizabeth Battee dated the fourteenth day of March Eighteen
hundred and Twenty two was raised in Anne Arundel County and has
a small scar on the left cheek
                                    Issued the 13 day of April 1841

            I Samuel Brown Jun.r Register of Wills for Anne Arundel
County do hereby Certify and attest that it appears from the last
Will and Testament of Joshua Linthicum late of the County aforesaid deceased
that he did by his said will manumit Liberate and set free, a negro
Boy by the name of William Landsdle and it being proved to my
satisfaction that the bearer hereof is the identical person as freed
by said Will  I do certify that he is in height four feet Eleven
& ½ Inches is about the age of Twenty five years, dark complexion
and was freed by the last will and Testament of the said Joshua
Linthicum dated the twentieth day of November Eighteen hundred
and Eighteen was raised in Anne Arundel County and has a
scar on the left wrist
                              Issued the 20 day April 1841
                                            Sam.l Brown Jnr Regr Wills A A County



            I Samuel Brown Jn.r Register of Wills for Anne Arundel County
do hereby certify and attest that it appears from the last Will and
Testament of Richard Wells late of Anne Arundel County deceased
that he did by his said will Manumit Liberate and set free a negro
Girl by the name of Matilda Semms and it being proved to my
