State of Maryland, City of Baltimore, Sct:  On this fourth day of
April Anno Domini 1851, before the subscriber, a Justice of the Peace of
the State of Maryland, in and for the City aforesaid personally
appeared Edward Reynolds, one of the firm of J. W. & E. Reynolds
parties grantees mentioned in the within bill of sale, and
made oath on the Holy Evangely of Almighty God, that the consideration
set forth in the within Bill of Sale is bona fide true
as therein set forth         Sworn before

Ezekiel E. Bell
        to
Thomas W. Cole
Know all men by these presents that I Ezekiel E. Bell of
Anne Arundel County and State of Maryland, for
and in consideration of the sum of three hundred
and ten dollars, current money and lawful money of the
United States, in hand paid by Thomas W. Cole of said County in
the said State, at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents,
the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged:  Have granted, bargained
and sold; and by these presents do grant, bargain and sell unto
the said Thomas W. Cole, his Executors, Administrators and Assigns,
one negro woman Mary and two children, the woman being
twenty four years old the 21.st day of January 1851, to serve untill she
is thirty one, and no longer, but thereafter to be free and discharged
from all servitude, the child Ann Mariah, being six years old the
first day of January 1851, to serve also untill she is thirty one years old
and then to be free and discharged from all servitude, the child Sarah
being two years old the 15.th of February 1851, to serve also, untill she is
thirty one years old, and then to be discharged from all servitude,
the woman Mary, and her two children Ann Mariah and Sarah
being sold and conveyed by me Ezekiel S. Bell to the said Thomas W.
Cole.  To Have and To Hold the said described Mary and two children
Ann Mariah and Sarah to the said Thomas W. Cole, his executors
Administrators and assigns forever; and I the said Ezekiel E. Bell
for myself my heirs, executors and administrators the said
woman and two children, Mary, Ann Maria and Sarah
unto the said Thomas Wilde, his Executors, Administrators and Assigns,
against me. the said Ezekiel E. Bell my Executors and administrators
and against all and every other person or persons whatsoever,
shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents
In witness whereof I hereunto set my hand and seal this
first day of March, eighteen hundred and fifty one   E. E. Bell   (Seal)
Signed, sealed and delivered in the presence of A. J. Phelps J. P.
