Assigns, and I the said Thomas Jefferson Hall for myself,
my Heirs, Executors, Administrators and Assigns, the said
negro Edward unto the said Landay Linstead his Executors,
Administrators and Assigns, against me the said Thomas J. Hall
my Executors and Administrators and against all and every
person or persons whatsoever, shall and will warrant and
forever defend by these presents.   In witness whereof we hereunto set
our Hands and Seals this twenty eighth day of September, eighteen
hundred and fifty

Anne Arundel County SS.   Be it remembered that on this
twenty eighth day of September 1850, before the Subscriber a
Justice of the Peace for said County appears Thomas Jefferson Hall
and acknowledges the above Instrument of Writing to be his act
and deed, according to the true intent and meaning thereof.   And at
the same time appeared before me Landay Linstead the granted
in the said Bill of Sale named, and made oath that the consideration
set forth in said Bill of Sale is true and bona fide as therein
set forth

Anne Arundel County to wit; I certify that the grantee in
this Bill of Sale this day paid one dollar, being the duty
chargeable by Law on this Instrument of Writing the receipt
whereof is hereon endorsed agreeably to the Act of Assembly
of December Session 1846 chapter 61.   Given under my hand
this 28.th day of September 1850

Alexander Randall
This Indenture made this twenty fifth
day of September in the year, eighteen
hundred and fifty, by William S. Holliday
of Anne Arundel County of the part, and Alexander Randall
of said County of the other part.   Whereas the said William
S. Holliday owes to the President, Directors and Company of the
Farmer's Bank of Maryland four hundred dollars on his note
discounted by them, which has been endorsed by Alexander Randall
this day, and is dated this twenty fifth day of September at six
months to secure the payment whereof, and of any renewal
