297 George W. Nutwell hath hereunto set his hand and seal the day and year first herein before written Signed sealed & delivered in presence of the word Geo. W Nutwell (seal) "& son" inserted in two places on first page before signing W.m P. Fate A. H. Pennington State of Maryland City of Baltimore sc On this ninth day of October 1848 before me the subscriber a Justice of the peace of said state in & for said City personally appeared George W. Nutwell the party grantor to the aforegoing Indenture and acknowledged the same to be his act and deed. And at the same time also came before me Thomas J. Hall of the firm of Thomas J. Hall & son the mortgagees named in said deed, and made oath on the Holy Evangely of Almighty God that the consideration set forth in said mortgage is true and bona fide as therein set forth Acknowledged & sworn to before A. H. Pennington State of Maryland Baltimore County sct I hereby certify that Augustine H Pennington Esquire before whom the annexed acknowledgment was made and who has thereto subscribed his name was at the time of so doing a Justice of the peace of the state of Maryland in and for the City of Baltimore duly commissioned and sworn (Seals) In Testimony whereof I hereto set my hand and affix the seal of (Place) Baltimore County Court this 13.th day of October A. D. 1848 A W Bradford Clerk Baltimore County Court Recorded on the 16.th day of October 1849 Cost $1.20
Edwin W. Duvall do hereby acknowledge have granted bargained and sold and by these presents do grant bargain and sell unto the said William Bryan and John Lamb their executors administrators and assigns all the following goods and chattels to wit: One sorrel horse, one buggy and horse, one cow, one gold watch, four beds and bedsteads and coverlids, two dozen chairs, one sideboard and Bureau, one settee two stoves, carpeting, one clock, three looking glasses, and all other the household and kitchen furniture of the said Edwin W. Duvall, now in his dwelling house in the City of Annapolis. To Have and to Hold all and singular the said goods and personal property and all other the premises above bargained and sold or mentioned and intended so to be to the said William Bryan and John Lamb their executors, administrators and assigns forever.
