13 forty five between Daniel M. Ball of Anne Arundel County of the one part and Enoch Duvall of said County of the other part. Whereas the said Daniel M. Ball owes and stands justly indebted to the said Enoch Duvall in the sum of two hundred dollars current money and to secure the payment thereof is willing to execute these presents. Now this Indenture Witnesseth that the said Daniel M. Ball for and in consideration of the premises and of the sum of five dollars current money to him in hand paid by the said Enoch Duvall at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained and sold and by these presents doth grant bargain and sell unto the said Enoch Duvall his executors administrators and assigns all and singular the goods furniture and household stuff hereinafter particularly mentioned and expressed that is to say two beds bedsteads and furniture one bureau one looking glass two silver watches one Gun and one box of tools together with all the household and kitchen furniture of whatsoever kind the same may consist as also one Horse and one cow. To have and To hold all and singular the said goods furniture and household Stuff unto the said Enoch Duvall his executors administrators and assigns to his and their own use and behoof. Provided always and it is declared to be the true intent and meaning of these presents that of the said Daniel M Ball do and shall well and truly pay or cause to be paid unto the said Enoch Duvall his executors administrators or assigns the full sum of two hundred dollars current money with legal interest for the same then and in such case these presents and every matter and thing herein contained shall cease determine and be utterly void to all intents and purposes anything herein contained to the contrary notwithstanding. In Witness whereof we hereunto affix our hands hands and seals on the day and year aforesaid Daniel M. Ball (seal) At the foot of the foregoing was thus written to wit Enoch Duvall (seal) State of Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit Be it remembered and it is hereby certified that on this fifth day of April 1845 before the Subscriber a justice of the peace of the said State and County aforesaid personally appears Daniel M. Ball and Enoch Duvall they being known to me to be the persons named and described as and professing to be parties to the foregoing deed or indenture and doth acknowledge the said indenture or instrument of writing to be their act and deed. In Testimony whereof I hereunto subscribe my name on this day and year aforesaid Tho.s N. Pindle J. P. costs 75 cts Recorded the 12.th day of April 1845.
