             At the foot of the aforegoing was thus written to wit

       State of maryland Anne Arundel County to wit:  On this twentieth day of
April in the year Eighteen hundred and forty three the above named James H
Iglehart appeared before me a Justice of the peace in and for said County and
acknowledged the above or foregoing instrument of writing to be his act and deed

          Know all men by these presents that I John Johnson of Anne
Arundel County State of maryland for and in consideration of the sum of one
hundred dollars Current money to me in hand paid by Elias Ellicott of said County
and State at and before the sealing of these presents the receipt whereof I the said
John Johnson do hereby acknowledge have granted bargained and sold and by
these presents do grant bargain & sell unto the said Elias Ellicott his Executors
administrators and assigns all the goods household stuff ^implements^ and of writing particularly
mentioned that is to say Two beds five Coverlids Two bedsteads two tables one
doz Cups & saucers one doz plates three dishes ½ dozen knives & forms one Tea kettle one
Dutch oven two spiders two Iron pots one mahogany Cupboard half a dozen chairs
one cow 1 mare & five hogs all and singular which said goods and chattels are
now remaining standing and being in a certain tenement at Patuxent forge and now
on the occupation of the said Jno Johnson  To have and To hold all and singular the
said goods household stuff and furniture above bargained & sold or mentioned and
intended so to be to the said Elias Ellicott his Executors administrators and assigns
for ever and I the said Jno Johnson for myself my heirs Executors and administrators
all and singular the said goods household stuff and furniture unto the said Elias
Ellicott his Executors administrators and assigns against me the said Jno Johnson
my Executors and administrators and against all and every other person or persons
whatsoever shall and will warrant and for ever defend by these presents of all and
singular which said goods household stuff and furniture I the said Jno Johnson have
put the said Elias Ellicott in full possession by delivering to him the said Elias
Ellicott one table spoon in the name of the whole premises hereby bargained and
sold or mentioned and intended so to be unto him the said Elias Ellicott as aforesaid
In Witness whereof the said John Johnson has hereunto set his hand and seal
the fourteenth day February in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred
and forty three                                              his
