246 persons whatsoever shall and will warrent and for ever defend by thes presents all of which said property I the said Gassaway Owens have put the said Enoch Owens in full possession by delivering to him the said Enoch Owens one bay Gelding at the sealing and delivering of these presents in the name of the whole property here mentioned and intended to be so unto him the said Enoch Owens as aforesaid In Witness whereof I the said Gassaway Owens have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this twentieth day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and forty three Signed Sealed and delivered in the Gassaway Owens (seal) presence of James Higgins At the foot of the aforegoing was thus written to wit State of maryland Ann Arundell County to wit: On this twentieth day of Aprill Eighteen hundred and forty three before me a Justice of the peace in and for the State and County aforesaid personally appears Gassaway Owens and acknowledge the foregoing instrument of writing or bill of sale to be his act and deed according to the true intent and meaning thereof and the Acts of the General Assembly in such case made and provided As Witness my hand and seal paid James Higgins (seal) Exd d d 60 4¼ Recorded the 20 day of April 1843 This Indenture made and Executed this twentieth day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and forty three by and between James H Iglehart of the City of Annapolis in Anne Arundel County and State of maryland of the one part and John Iglehart and James Iglehart of the County and State aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth Whereas the said James H Iglehart stands indebted to the President Directors and Company of The Farmers Bank of maryland in the sum of six hundred dollars Curent money by his certain negotiable Promissory Note bearing date the Eighth day of march Eighteen hundred and forty three and payable sixty days after date to the said John Iglehart or order which said Note is endorsed by the said John Iglehart and James Iglehart as securities and endorsers for the said James H Iglehart and whereas the said James H Iglehart owes and stands justly indebted to the said James Iglehart in the sum of Two hundred and fifty dollars Current money for dealings in his store And whereas the said James H Iglehart for the purpose of indemnifying and saving harmless the said John Iglehart and James Iglehart against all loss or damage which they or either of them may sustain suffer or incur by reason of their said endorsement or by reason of them endorsing any future note or notes for the said James H Iglehart and which may be received by the said President Directors and Company of the |
