175 This Indenture made this nineteenth of april Eighteen hundred and forty two between Thomas Taylor of the one part and Somerville Pinkney and William Brewer of the other part whereas the said Somerville Pinkney and William Brewer on the day of February Eighteen hundred and forty two became endorsers for the said Thomas Taylor on a promissory note dated on the day and year last aforesaid and payable sixty days after date for the sum of fifty dollars and negotiable at the Farmers Bank of maryland and to save harmless and indemnify the said Somerville Pinkney and William Brewer against all loss and injury resulting from such endorsements the said Thomas Taylor is willing and hath agreed to Execute these presents Now this Indenture Witnesseth that the said Thomas Taylor for and in consideration of the premises and for and in Consideration of the sum of five dollars to him in hand paid by the said Somerville Pinkney and William Brewer at or before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof the said Thomas Taylor doth hereby acknowledge hath granted bargained and sold and by these presents doth grant bargain and sell unto the said Somerville Pinkney and William Brewer their executors administrators and assigns one buggy wagon and now in possession of the said Thomas Taylor Provided always and that this Indenture is upon this Condition that if the said Thomas Taylor his Executors or administrators shall well and truly pay the aforesaid sum of fifty dollars to the president Directors and Company of the Farmers Bank of maryland when said promissory note becomes due and shall indemnify and save harmless the said Somerville Pinkney and William Brewer their Executors and administrators from all loss and injury arising from their aforesaid endorsements then and in such Case these presents shall cease and be utterly void In Witness whereof I hereunto set my hand and seal this nineteenth day of april 1842 Signed sealed and delivered in Thos Taylor (seal) presence of J W Hunter At the foot of the aforegoing was thus written to wit Maryland Anne Arundel County Be it remembered that on this 19 day of April in the year of our Lord Eighteen hundred and forty two before the Subscriber a Justice of the peace for Anne Arundel Co appeared Thomas Taylor party grantor on the aforegoing Instrument of writing and acknowledges the same to be his act and deed chd J W Hunter 53cts 4 Recorded the 20th day of April 1842 This Indenture made this 20th day of April in the year of our Lord One thousand Eight hundred and forty two between Benjamin E Jones of Anne Arundel County in the State of maryland of the one part and William G Jones of the same County and State as above mentioned of the other part whereas the said Benjamin E Jones for and in (Consideration) |
