Pleasant School House" situate on the lands of Mr Reuben Ridgely being desirous of electing certain of their members to be constituted a body politic under and in pursuance of an Act of the General Assembly of Maryland Entitled "An Act to incorporate certain persons in every christian church or congregation in this State" and of the supplement thereto did assemble together on the eighth day of August in the year of our Lord One thousand Eight hundred and Fifty nine at the aforesaid Mt Pleasant School House in the county of Howard (being the place ordinarily used for Public meetings for said church or congregation agreeably to public notice given the preceeding sabbath and with the Rev Henry C Westwood minister did duly elect according to law and the common usuage of the Church the following nine sober and discreet persons to wit: Reuben Ridgely, Lloyd W Linthicum, James L Parsley, James Harban, Tilghman P Iglehart, Edward Day, Evan T Ridgely, Basil D Solters and John C Colliflour to act as trustees of the said church together with the said Henry C Westwood or the minister for the time being regularly appointed according to the Rules and discipline which from time to time may be |
