and sell unto the said William A Webb the following named negro slaves for terms of years: Thomas Hall being a slave until he shall attain the age of twenty five years which will be about January 1863 and George Hall being a slave for a term of years until he shall attain the age of twenty five years which will be in the year 1867 being the same negroes devised to me from Mrs Laura Smith under her will as will appear from the same recorded in the office of the Register of Wills of Harford County I being entitled to the service of the said negro slaves under said will until they attain the ages of twenty five years respectively. Provided that if I the said Frances C Smith shall pay the said sum of Three hundred and one dollars and sixty five cents with Interest thereon within twelve months from this date then these presents to be void Witness my hand and seal this 18th day of July 1859 Witness F. Webb and severally acknowledged the aforegoing deed or mortgage Bill of sale to be their respective act David E Hopkins Received to be recorded on the 2.nd day of August 1859 at 11½ Oclock A. M same day recorded & examined per W. W.
