of Howard county in the state of Maryland by his bill of sale of that date did grant bargain sell and convey unto me John R. Brown of the county and state aforesaid certain goods household stuff implements and furniture particularly mentioned expressed and contained in the schedule thereunto annexed for the sum of seven hundred and sixty dollars lawful Money as by reference to said Bill of sale and schedule thereto annexed duly executed acknowledged and recorded in Liber E. P. H. No 2 folio 468 &c one of the chattel record books of Howard county will More fully and at large appear and whereas the said sum of money hath been repaid to the said John R. Brown. Now I the said John R. Brown by these presents for and in consideration of the premises and of the payment of one dollar to me in hand paid by the said James M.cGowan at or before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have granted |
