Watkins & James Waters all of Howard county and state of maryland are held and firmly bound unto the state of maryland in the full and just sum of ten thousand dollars current money to be paid to the said state or to its certain attorney or assigns to which payment well and truly to be made and done we bind ourselves and each of us our and each of our heirs executors and administrators jointly and severally firmly by these presents sealed with our seals and dated on this tenth day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty five. Now the condition of the above obligation is such that if the above bound Littleton Maclin shall faithfully execute his office as treasurer of Howard county and well and truly account for and pay over to the Treasurer of Maryland the several sums of money which he shall receive or be answerable for at such times as the law directs then this obligation |
