William Warfield
Deed of Manumission
               To
Negroes Rebecca Frisby
and Isaac Thomas
 To all whom it may concern
be it known that I William
Warfield of anne
arundel county state of
maryland for divers good
causes and considerations
me thereunto moving as also in further
consideration of twenty dollars current Money
to me in hand paid have released from slavery
liberated Manumitted and set free by
these presents do hereby release from slavery
liberate Manumit and set free my negro woman
Rebecca being of the age of forty four years
also any two negro boys Frisby being of the age
of four years and Isaac Thomas aged two
years and them the said negroes named Rebecca
Frisby and Isaac Thomas I do declare
to be henceforth free manumitted and discharged
from all Manner of servitude or service
to me my executors administrators
forever.  In testimony whereof I have hereunto
set my hand and affixed my seal this
27.th day of June in the year of our Lord 1822
signed sealed and delivered
       in the presence of
Cha.s D. Warfield               William Warfield   (seal)
Nicholas D. Warfield of Bela
                                              On the back of the
aforegoing Deed was thus written to wit;
Anne Arundel county to wit  on this 7.th
day of June 1822 personally   William Warfield
party to the above instrument of writing
before me the subscriber a justice of the
peace of the state of Maryland for the said
county and acknowledges the same to be his
act and deed for the purposes above mentioned
and the negroes above named to be
henceforth manumitted and discharged
from all services to him or to any claiming
under him and to be free and manumitted
according to the act of assembly in such
cases made and provided
      Acknowledged before      Sam.l Hopkins
Recorded the 11.th day of June 1822
