103 bussiness as the said charles shipley shall be put unto by his said Master according to the power and ability of the said charles shipley and honestly and obediently in all things shall behave himself towards his said master and honestly and orderly towards the rest of the family of the said William Laurence and the said William Laurence on his part doth hereby promise covenant and agree and shall well and faithfully find and provide for the said apprentice good and sufficient meat Drink clothing lodging and other necessaries fit and convenient for such apprentice during the term aforesaid and at the expiration thereof shall give unto the said apprentice two suits of wearing apperal one suitable for sundays and the other for working days In testimony whereof the said John G. Worthington and William Laurence have hereunto interchangeably set their hands and seals the day and year first above written signed sealed and delivered in presence of us J. G. and firmly bound unto the state of maryland in the full and just sum of two thousand dollars current money to be paid to the state of maryland to the which payment well and truly to be made and done we bind ourselves our heirs executors and administrators jointly and severally firmly by these presents sealed with our seals and dated this ninth day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty five.
