LeCompte & acknowledged the aforegoing Bill of Sale to be his act. Charles Corkran (seal) Wheatley Mobray Be it remembered and it is hereby Certified that the following Bill of Sale √ from 40 was received and recorded on the 22nd day of September Anno Domini 1856 to wit: Alfred Wheeler I Alfred Wheeler of Dorchester County State of Maryland in Consideration of Two Hundred dollars paid me by Wheatley Mobry of the County and State aforesaid do heareby bargain and sell the said Wheatley Mobray the following property one yoke of Stears one Mare one Colt one Cow and calf thirteen head hogs Crop of Corn talor paches one Harrow one plough all my top and Blaid fodder two Beds and Furniture Two tables five Chairs twelve plats six cups and causers Two Hundred heads of Cabbage one Cradel one Lot of Turnips Fifty feet of lumber one Canoe one spade one shovel Three stacks of Wheat straw. Witness my hand and seal this 22.d day of September 1856 his Test James N. Deld to Wheatley Mobray March 25 1857 Stephen B LeCompte Be it remembered and it is hereby Certified that the following Mortgage & William Kinnaman Bill of Sale was received and recorded on the 27th day of September 1856 to wit Paid from x.d I Mitchell Sherman of Dorchester County Maryland being now indebted Mitchell Sherman to Stephen B LeCompte and William Kinneman of said County and State aforesaid in the sum of Five Hundred Dollars with interest from the date hereof in Consideration thereof do hereby bargain and sell unto the said Stephen B. LeCompte and William Kinneman the following Property and Black mare and her Colt one Bay Colt one bay Mare two yoke of Oxen one Cow and her Calf one ox Cart Eighteen Hogs two Plows two Harrows two set of seed Harrow teeth one Wheat Fan two set of plow Gear Two Hundred Barrels of Corn Crop of Blade and top Fodder also all of my Household and Kitchen furniture Consisting of Beds chairs tables earthen and stone ware, Chests, trunks, ovens, pots, pot Hooks, spiders, Kettles and pans pot racks &C provided that if I the said Mitchell Sherman shall pay unto the said Stephen B LeCompte and William Kinneman the said sum of Five Hundred Dollars with the interest thereon on or before the fifteenth day of Decr 1856 then these presents shall be void Provided however that in default of payment the said Stephen B. LeCompte and William Kinneman may sell the above mortgaged property in the following manner that is to say at my place of residence for Cash and at public Sale after having given ten days notice by public advertisement set up at three or more of the most public places in the district.
