CHAPTER 50 (Senate Bill 720) AN ACT concerning Joint Committee on Unemployment Insurance Oversight FOR the purpose of reestablishing the Joint Committee on Unemployment Insurance
Oversight; establishing the membership and staffing of the Committee;
requiring the President of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Delegates
to designate the cochairs of the Committee; requiring the Committee to examine
certain issues; authorizing the Committee to examine certain issues; requiring
the Committee to issue a certain report by a certain date; prohibiting a member
of the Committee from receiving certain compensation, but authorizing a
member of the Committee to receive certain reimbursements; providing for the
termination of this Act; and generally relating to the reestablishment of the
Joint Committee on Unemployment Insurance Oversight. BY adding to Article - State Government Section 2-10A-11 Annotated Code of Maryland (2004 Replacement Volume and 2006 Supplement) SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows: Article - State Government 2-10A-11. (a) There is a Joint Committee on Unemployment Insurance
Oversight. (b) The Committee consists of the following 15 members: (1) three members of the senate, appointed by the
President of the Senate; (2) three members of the House of Delegates, appointed
by the Speaker of the House of Delegates;
