STATE GOVERNMENT ARTICLE, TO THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY, ON THE NUMBER,
AMOUNT, AND USE OF LOANS AND SUBSIDIES FOR WHICH THE PROGRAM HAS
PROVIDED GUARANTEES OF LOANS AND SUBSIDIES OF LOAN INTEREST UNDER THIS
SUBTITLE. REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived without substantive
change from former Art. 41, § 14-914. Defined terms: "Board" § 7-601

"Secretary" § 7-601 SUBTITLE 7. BLIND, VISUALLY IMPAIRED, DEAF, HARD OF HEARING, AND MOBILITY IMPAIRED INDIVIDUALS. 7-701. DEFINITIONS. (A) IN GENERAL. IN THIS SUBTITLE THE FOLLOWING WORDS HAVE THE MEANINGS INDICATED. REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection is new language added as the standard
introductory language to a definition section. (B) BLIND.
"BLEND" MEANS: (1) A VISUAL ACUITY NOT EXCEEDING 20/200 IN THE BETTER EYE WITH
CORRECTIVE LENSES; OR (2) A VISUAL FIELD OF WHICH THE WIDEST DIAMETER SUBTENDS AN
ANGLE OF NOT MORE THAN 20 DEGREES. REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection is new language derived without
substantive change from former Art. 30, § 32. In the introductory language of this subsection, the former phrase "[f]or
the purposes of this article" is deleted as surplusage.
