consultation, and instruction that relate to the development and disorders of hearing,
vestibular functions, and related language and speech disorders, to prevent or modify
the disorders or assist individuals in hearing and auditory and related skills for communication.] THE APPLICATION OF PRINCIPLES, METHODS, AND PROCEDURES RELATED TO THE DEVELOPMENT AND DISORDERS OF THE HUMAN AUDITORY VESTIBULAR SYSTEM. (2) "Practice audiology" includes [the fitting or selling of hearing aids]: (I) THE DIAGNOSIS, EVALUATION, TREATMENT, COUNSELING, AND MANAGEMENT, OF:                                               1. AUDITORY AND BALANCE FUNCTIONS;                                               2. CERUMEN MANAGEMENT;                                              3. AN ABNORMAL FUNCTION RELATED TO TINNITUS, AUDITORY SENSITIVITY, LANGUAGE, FUNCTION OR PROCESSING OF SPEECH, OR OTHER ABERRANT BEHAVIOR RESULTING FROM HEARING LOSS; OR                                            4. CONDITIONS RELATED TO DEFICITS IN PROCESSING AUDITORY INFORMATION, WHETHER RELATED TO NORMAL OR ABNORMAL HEARING, THAT MAY:                               A. IMPAIR AN INDIVIDUAL'S ABILITY TO COMMUNICATE, UNDERSTAND SPOKEN LANGUAGE, OR UNDERSTAND AUDITORY MESSAGES; OR                               B. INTERFERE WITH AN INDIVIDUAL'S JOB PERFORMANCE OR EDUCATION.                                                  (II) SCREENING FOR DELAYS AND DISORDERS OF SPEECH AND LANGUAGE FOR THE PURPOSE OF REFERRAL FOR FURTHER EVALUATION;                                              (III) SELECTING, EVALUATING, DISPENSING, AND ASSISTING IN THE ADJUSTMENT TO OR DISPENSING AND FITTING OF A HEARING INSTRUMENT OR FM SYSTEM;                                                    (IV) PROGRAMMING, MAPPING, EVALUATING, DISPENSING, OR ASSISTING IN THE ADJUSTMENT TO OR DISPENSING AND FITTING OF THE HEARING AND SPEECH PROCESSING COMPONENTS OF COCHLEAR IMPLANTS AND OTHER IMPLANTABLE HEARING DEVICES; OR
