SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That:
(a) There is a Task Force to Implement Holocaust, Genocide, Human Rights,
and Tolerance Education in the State.
(b) (1) The Task Force consists of the following members:
(i) [two members ONE MEMBER of the Senate of Maryland]
THE FOLLOWING MEMBERS, appointed by the President of the Senate:;
1. ONE MEMBER OF THE SENATE OF MARYLAND;
AND
2. ONE FORMER MEMBER OF THE SENATE OF
MARYLAND:
(ii) [two members ONE MEMBER of the House of Delegates]
THE FOLLOWING MEMBERS, appointed by the Speaker of the House:;
1. ONE MEMBER OF THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES;
2. ONE FORMER MEMBER OF THE HOUSE OF
DELEGATES;
(iii) the Secretary of the Maryland Higher Education
Commission, or the Secretary's designee;
(iv) the Chancellor of the University System of Maryland, or the
Chancellor's designee;
(v) the State Superintendent of Schools, or the Superintendent's
designee; and
(vi) the following members, appointed by the Governor:
1. one professor of sociology at the University System of
Maryland; and
2. five SEVEN members of the public who are residents
of the State, with preference given to:
