(iii) one physician who is an oncologist and represents the American
Cancer Society;

(iv)   one registered nurse;

(v)    one representative of a women's health organization;

(vi)   one representative of the American Academy of Pediatrics;

(vii)  one representative of the health insurance industry;

(viii) one teacher;

(ix) one representative of a local newspaper, television, or radio
station; and

(x) two members of the public, one of whom shall be a cervical
cancer survivor.

(e) The Governor shall designate the chairman of the Task Force.

(d)     The Task Force shall elect a vice chairman from among its members.

(e)     (b) The Department of Health and Mental Hygiene shall provide staff for
the Task Force Committee.

(f) The Chairman of the Task Force may:

(1) establish committees for the purpose of completing the duties of the
Task Force; and

(2) appoint individuals who are not members of the Task Force to serve
on each committee.

(g) A member of the Task Force may not receive compensation for serving on
the Task Force, but is entitled to reimbursement for expenses under the Standard
State Travel Regulations, as provided in the State budget.

(h) (c) The Task Force Committee shall:

(1)     be briefed by the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene on the
prevalence and burden of cervical cancer in the State;

(2)     in collaboration with the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene
and the State Council on Cancer Control?:

(i) promote public awareness on the causes and nature of cervical
cancer, personal risk factors, the value of prevention, early detection, options for
testing, treatment costs, new technology, medical care reimbursement, and physician
education; and

(ii) examine new and emerging medicines, including vaccines, that
are being developed in an effort to cure cervical cancer;
