Article 4 - Public Local Laws of Maryland (1979 Edition and 1997 Supplement, and 2000 Supplement, as amended) SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows: Article 48 - Inspections 169. (a) There is hereby created within the Division of Labor and Industry a Board
of Boiler Rules, referred to hereafter as the "Board", consisting of [9] 11 12 10
members, [8] 10 11 9 of whom shall be appointed by the Governor with the advice of
the Secretary of Labor, Licensing, and Regulation, and with the advice and consent of
the Senate. Among the appointed members of the Board shall be 1 representative of
the owners and users of power boilers, 1 representative of owners and users of heating
boilers. 1 representative of owners and users of pressure vessels, 1 representative of
manufacturers or assemblers of boilers or pressure vessels, 1 representative of a
company licensed to insure boilers or pressure vessels, 1 mechanical engineer on the
faculty of a recognized engineering college within the State, 1 stationary engineer, 1
individual who is licensed as a professional engineer and has boiler or pressure vessel
experience, 1 REPRESENTATIVE FROM THE ANTIQUE BOILER INDUSTRY, 1
REPRE
SENTATIVE FROM THE MODEL BOILER INDUSTRY, and 1 consumer member.
