(Senate Bill 432)
AN ACT concerning
Election Law - Compliance With Federal "Help America Vote Act" Law
FOR the purpose of altering provisions of the Election Law to comply with the
requirements of the federal "Help America Vote Act of 2002"; designating the
State Board of Elections as the official office required to provide certain
information in accordance with the Uniform Overseas Citizens Absentee Voting
Act; establishing a procedure for the casting and canvassing of provisional
ballots; altering certain procedures when an individual's right to vote is
challenged; requiring that certain information be made available; altering
certain polling place procedures; repealing provisions relating to a temporary
certificate of registration; altering a certain definition; defining a certain term;
and generally relating to provisional ballots and compliance with mandatory
provisions of federal law.
