Resolution No. 6-1-99
Charter Amendment No. 99-1 A CHARTER AMENDMENT TO DELETE THE REQUIREMENT THAT THE
BOARD OF MANAGERS MUST SUBMIT THE PROPOSED TAX RATE TO THE
CHEVY CHASE VILLAGE VOTERS, WHO BY A MAJORITY VOTE OF THOSE
PRESENT AND VOTING AT THE ANNUAL MEETING, MAY APPROVE,
INCREASE OR DECREASE THE TAX RATE RECOMMENDED BY THE BOARD. [Section 77-6 of the Charter of the Village of Chevy Chase, Montgomery County,
as found in the Public Local Laws of Maryland - Compilation of Municipal Charters
(1990 Replacement Edition and 1999 Supplement), repealed and reenacted, with
amendments. Effective Date August 3, 1999]

Charter Amendment No. 99-2 A CHARTER AMENDMENT TO INCREASE THE EMERGENCY BORROWING
AUTHORITY OF THE VILLAGE BOARD OF MANAGERS FROM $20,000.00 TO
$200,000.00 AND TO EXTEND THE PERIOD DURING WHICH SUCH
BORROWING MAY BE REPAID FROM 18 MONTHS TO 24 MONTHS. [Section 77-10 of the Charter of the Village of Chevy Chase, Montgomery
County, as found in the Public Local Laws of Maryland - Compilation of Municipal
Charters (1990 Replacement Edition and 1999 Supplement), repealed and reenacted,
with amendments. Effective Date November 30, 1999]
