AN ACT concerning
eMaryland Initiative
FOR the purpose of creating the CEO Board of Advisors for E-Commerce in State
government; providing for the membership and structure, chairman, and
meetings of the Board; specifying the duties of the Board; providing for staff
support for the Board; establishing a consortium the "eMaryland" ASP
Consortium at the University of Maryland, College Park to promote the
deployment of Internet-based technologies; providing for the purpose, role, and
charge of the consortium; creating a management committee of for the
consortium; providing for the role and membership of the management
committee; establishing an a certain application service provider account in the
Information Technology Investment Fund; providing for expenditures from the
account for certain purposes; specifying what the moneys that may constitute
the account; defining certain terms; and generally relating to initiatives to
advance the development, promotion, and use of electronic business and
commerce in the State.
