(2) KEEP THE COMMITTEE FULLY INFORMED AS TO ISSUES AFFECTING
THE PORT OF BALTIMORE.
(G) THE COMMITTEE SHALL REPORT TO THE GOVERNOR AND THE
LEGISLATIVE POLICY COMMITTEE ON OR BEFORE DECEMBER 31 OF EACH YEAR
8-403. (M) EXCEPT AS OTHERWISE PROVIDED IN SUBSECTION (E) OF THIS SECTION,
ON OR BEFORE JULY 1, 2009, AN EVALUATION SHALL BE MADE OF THE STATE BOARD
OF DOCKING MASTERS AND THE REGULATIONS THAT RELATE TO THE STATE BOARD
OF DOCKING MASTERS.
SECTION 3. 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That after the effective date
of this Act and until the Public Service Commission adopts fees for Special Duty
Assignments
licensed docking master services pursuant to § 11-502(a) §5.5 401 §
5.5-403
of the Business Occupations and Professions Article as enacted by this Act,
any holder of a special duty license or a special duty assignment certification docking
master license
shall charge the same fees for performing special duty assignments
licensed docking master services as such holder was entitled to charge, pursuant to
contract or otherwise, prior to the effective date. SECTION 4. 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That Section 2 of this Act
shall take effect January 1, 2001
the initial members appointed to the State Board of
Docking Masters under § 5.5-202(a)(2)(i) of the Business Occupations and Professions
Article shall be docking masters currently performing duties as docking masters in the
Port of Baltimore.
SECTION 4. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the terms of the initial
members of the State Board of Docking Masters shall expire as follows:
(1) 3 members in 2002; (2) 3 members in 2003; and (3) 1 member in 2004. SECTION 5. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the State Board of
Docking Masters may not limit the number of docking master licenses issued in
accordance with § 5.5-303 of the Business Occupations and Professions Article, if the
effect would be to deny a license to an individual who satisfies the requirements for
licensure under Title 5.5 of the Business Occupations and Professions Article on
October 1, 2000.
SECTION 5. 6. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That except as provided in
Section 4 of this Act,
this Act shall take effect October 1, 2000.
