2000 LAWS OF MARYLAND
(F) THE DEPARTMENT OF THE ENVIRONMENT SHALL PROVIDE STAFF
SUPPORT TO THE TASK FORCE. (G) (1) ON OR BEFORE OCTOBER 1, 2001 DECEMBER 1, 2000, THE TASK FORCE
SHALL SUBMIT A PRELIMINARY REPORT OF ITS FINDINGS AND RECOMMENDATIONS
TO THE GOVERNOR AND, SUBJECT TO § 2-1246 OF THE STATE GOVERNMENT ARTICLE,
TO THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY. (2) ON OR BEFORE OCTOBER 1, 2002 DECEMBER 1, 2001, THE TASK FORCE
SHALL SUBMIT A FINAL REPORT OF ITS FINDINGS AND RECOMMENDATIONS TO THE
GOVERNOR AND, SUBJECT TO § 2-1246 OF THE STATE GOVERNMENT ARTICLE, TO THE
GENERAL ASSEMBLY. 14-603. THE TASK FORCE SHALL BE FUNDED BY THE MARYLAND OIL DISASTER
CONTAINMENT, CLEAN UP, AND CONTINGENCY FUND UNDER
§ 4-411 OF THIS
ARTICLE.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act is contingent on
the taking effect of Chapter ____ (S.B. ____/H.B. 457) of tho Acts of the General
Assembly of 2000, and if Chapter_does not become effective, this Act shall be null and void without the necessity of further action by the General Assembly. SECTION & 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That, except as provided in
Section 2 of this Act, this Act shall take effect July 1, 2000
this Act is an emergency
measure, is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public health and safety,
has been passed by a yea or nay vote supported by three-fifths of all the members
elected to each of the two Houses of the General Assembly, and shall take effect from
the date it is enacted. It shall remain effective for a period of 3 years until July 1,
2002 and, at the end of July 1, 2003 June 30, 2002, with no further action required by
the General Assembly, this Act shall be abrogated and of no further force and effect. Approved May 11, 2000.
CHAPTER 416
(House Bill 826) AN ACT concerning Creation of a State Debt - Anne Arundel County - Maryland Therapy and Education Center FOR the purpose of authorizing the creation of a State Debt not to exceed $300,000
$100,000, the proceeds to be used as a grant to the Board of Directors of
Maryland Therapeutic Riding, Inc. for certain development or improvement
purposes; providing for disbursement of the loan proceeds, subject to a
requirement that the grantee provide and expend a matching fund; and
providing generally for the issuance and sale of bonds evidencing the loan.
