SECTION 26. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That, at the end of September
30, 2002, and with no further action required by the General Assembly, § 27-208 of
the Insurance Article, as enacted by Chapter f H.B. 11) of the Acts of the General
Assembly of 1997, shall be void and § 27-208 of the Insurance Article, as enacted by
Section 11 of this Act, shall take effect. This section supersedes the termination and
abrogation provisions of Section 2 of Chapter 24 of the Acts of the General Assembly
of 1996.]

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take
effect October 1, 1999.

AN ACT concerning

Prince George's County - Town of Bladensburg - Bostwick House

FOR the purpose of amending Chapter 250 of the Acts of the General Assembly of
1997, the Prince George's County - Town of Bladensburg - Bostwick House Loan
of 1997, to alter the amount of the matching fund that the recipient shall
provide and expend; and making this Act an emergency measure.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments;

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That:

(1) The Board of Public Works may borrow money and incur indebtedness on
behalf of the State of Maryland through a State loan to be known as the Prince
George's County - Town of Bladensburg - Bostwick House Loan of 1997 in [a total
principal amount equal to the lesser of (i) $350,000 or (ii) the amount of the matching
fund provided in accordance with Section 1(5) below] THE TOTAL PRINCIPAL AMOUNT
OF $350,000. This loan shall be evidenced by the issuance, sale, and delivery of State
general obligation bonds authorized by a resolution of the Board of Public Works and
issued, sold, and delivered in accordance with §§ 8-117 through 8-124 of the State
Finance and Procurement Article and Article 31, § 22 of the Code.
