(A) THE PROGRAM SHALL BE ADMINISTERED BY THE DEPARTMENT IN
CONSULTATION WITH AN ADVISORY COMMITTEE.
(A) THERE IS AN ADVISORY BOARD ON AFTER-SCHOOL OPPORTUNITY
PROGRAMS IN THE PROGRAM.
(B) THE ADVISORY COMMITTEE BOARD SHALL CONSIST OF 16 INDIVIDUALS
DETERMINED AS FOLLOWS THE FOLLOWING INDIVIDUALS:
(1) THE GOVERNOR OR THE GOVERNOR'S DESIGNEE;
(1) (2) THE PRESIDENT OF THE SENATE OF MARYLAND OR THE
PRESIDENT'S DESIGNEE;
(2) (3) THE SPEAKER OP THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES OF MARYLAND
OR THE SPEAKER'S DESIGNEE;
(3) (4) THE STATE SUPERINTENDENT OF SCHOOLS OR THE
SUPERINTENDENT'S DESIGNEE;
(5) THE SECRETARIES OF EDUCATION HEALTH AND MENTAL HYGIENE,
JUVENILE JUSTICE, AND HUMAN RESOURCES OR THEIR DESIGNEES;
(3) (5) (6) ONE REPRESENTATIVE THE SPECIAL SECRETARY OF THE
OFFICE OF FOR CHILDREN, YOUTH, AND FAMILIES DESIGNATED BY THE GOVERNOR
OR THE SPECIAL SECRETARY'S DESIGNEE:
(5) (6) (7) ONE REPRESENTATIVE OF THE OFFICE OF CRIME
CONTROL AND PREVENTION DESIGNATED BY THE GOVERNOR; AND
(6) (7) (8) EIGHT TWELVE FIFTEEN INDIVIDUALS SERVING 2-YEAR
TERMS, TO BE APPOINTED BY THE GOVERNOR, AS FOLLOWS:
(I) TWO MEMBERS WHO REPRESENT THE CHILDREN'S ADVOCACY
COMMUNITY AND ARE NOT EMPLOYED BY AN ORGANIZATION THAT IS OR MAY BE A
RECIPIENT OF MONEY FROM THE FUND;
(II) TWO MEMBERS WHO REPRESENT THE INTERESTS OF THE
AFTER-SCHOOL PROVIDER COMMUNITY WHO REPRESENT PROVIDERS NOT
INCLUDED IN ITEMS (VI) AND (VII) OF THIS SUBSECTION;
(III) TWO MEMBERS WHO ARE PARENTS OF STUDENTS ENROLLED
IN THE STATE IN KINDERGARTEN THROUGH GRADE 12; AND
(IV) TWO MEMBERS WHO ARE STUDENTS ENROLLED IN THE STATE
IN GRADES 6 THROUGH 12;
(V) ONE TEACHER WHO IS WORKING IN A SCHOOL IN THE STATE;
(VI) ONE MEMBER WHO IS A REGISTERED FAMILY CHILD CARE
PROVIDER WHO SERVES SCHOOL AGE CHILDREN:
