Article 33 - Election Code

(a) Each member of the boards of the several political subdivisions of the State
shall receive an annual salary of not less than the following amounts:
(8) Cecil County:
[(iii) Members may not be given additional salary or expenses for other
compensation generated by virtue of activities or election matters which occur in the
county, but may be compensated for actual expenses incurred in activities which occur out
of the county.]
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 1997.

AN ACT concerning
Insurance Article - III
FOR the purpose of adding certain titles and subtitles to the Insurance Article, to revise,
restate, and recodify the laws of the State relating to: the Insurance Fraud Division,
reciprocal insurers, insurance rating law including prior approval rate making and
competitive rating, nonprofit health service plans, preferred provider organizations,
the Maryland Group Health Insurance Plan, dental plan organizations, health
insurance including individual and group health insurance policy forms and
provisions, prohibited denials, exclusions, and reductions of coverage, required
reimbursement of institutions, required reimbursement for services of health care
providers, required health insurance benefits, the Medicare Supplement Act, claims
and utilization review, miscellaneous health insurance policies, the Maryland
Health Insurance Reform Act, and the Interdepartmental Committee on Mandated
Health Insurance Benefits, long-term care insurance, unfair trade practices and
other prohibited practices including unfair claim settlement practices, fraudulent
insurance acts, discrimination in insurance, and unauthorized insurers false
advertising practices, and reporting and preventing insurance fraud, and the general
criminal penalty for certain violations of the insurance laws of the State; defining
certain terms; and generally relating to the insurance laws of the State.
