1997 LAWS OF MARYLAND

subsection (b) of this section, a public housing authority shall notify the Family
Investment Administration of the court action.

(2) Upon notification pursuant to paragraph (1) of this subsection or upon
certification by an attorney of record representing the delinquent tenant in the court
action that an order has been issued to establish an escrow account, the Family
Investment Administration shall pay rent to the court so long as such an order is in effect.

(3) Any notification pursuant to paragraphs (1) and (2) of this subsection
shall include a list of all addresses covered by the court action.

(4) The Public Housing Authority shall notify the Family Investment
Administration when the court action has been resolved.

Chapter 599 of the Acts of 1995

SECTION 4. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1995. [It shall remain effective for a period of 2 years and, at the end of June 30,
1997, with no further action required by the General Assembly, this Act shall be
abrogated and of no further force and effect.]

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1997.

AN ACT concerning

Vehicle Theft Prevention Council and Vehicle Theft Prevention Fund - Transfer to the
Department of State Police and Repeal Extension of Termination Date

FOR the purpose of transferring the Vehicle Theft Prevention Council and the Vehicle
Theft Prevention Fund from the Department of Public Safety and Correctional
Services to the Department of State Police; repealing extending the termination
date of the Act that established the Vehicle Theft Prevention Council and the
Vehicle Theft Prevention Fund; and generally relating to the Vehicle Theft
Prevention Council and the Vehicle Theft Prevention Fund.

Section 4-1601 through 4-1605, respectively, and the subtitle "Subtitle 16. Vehicle
