(2) One member of the Senate of Maryland, appointed by the President of
the Senate, who shall be co-chairman of the Task Force; and

(3) The following members appointed by the Governor:

(i) A representative of the Department of Budget and Management;

(ii) A representative of the State Department of Education,

(iii) A representative of the Department of Health and Mental

(iv) A representative of the Department of Human Resources;
(v) A representative of a local education agency;
(vi) A member of the Governor's Advisory Board on Homelessness;
(vii) A member of the Maryland Association of Boards of Education;
(viii) A member of the Public School Superintendents' Association of

(ix) A member of the Maryland Association of Pupil Transportation

(viii) (x) Two members of the general public who are providers to and
advocates for homeless persons, including shelter providers and representatives of legal
advocacy groups; and

(ix) (xi) A homeless or formerly homeless parent of school-age

children.

(d) The State Board of Education shall provide staff support to the Task Force.

(e) The Task Force shall report its findings and recommendations to the
Governor and, in accordance with § 2-1312 of the State Government Article, to the
General Assembly by June 1, 1998.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED. That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1997.
